My journey in floristry began in high school, with my first role at a local flower shop — an experience that quietly set everything in motion. Even while studying Exercise Science at the University of Kansas, I felt increasingly drawn to the creative world and pursued formal training in floral design.

This foundation led me into the event industry, where I became captivated by the ability to shape environments and create atmosphere through design. I freelanced alongside local florists, refining my skills, while also working as an event coordinator — a role that affirmed my focus on event-driven floral design.

These experiences ultimately gave rise to Desi Flora, a studio rooted in thoughtful design, intentionality, and transformation.

Away from the studio, I’m drawn to travel, food, and family time. My faith guides my work and my life, helping me stay centered and truly appreciate the creative opportunities I have.
